Morning Prayer - Weekdays at 11:30
Morning prayer is one of the Daily Offices included in the Book of Common Prayer beginning on page 76. It is a service that can be done at home, or in church. Join us each weekday in the Conference Room of the Parish House and include the weekly prayer list in your devotions.
Bible Study - Tuesdays, 12:00pm
Please join us each Tuesday in the Conference Room of the Parish House to discuss the lections for the upcoming week. We reflect on what the scripture says and how it impacts our lives. You are encouraged to come, bring a bag lunch and join in the discussion. For more information please contact The Rev. John Mennell.
Altar Guild
With just a few hours commitment each month you can take part in this ministry. The Altar Guild prepares and maintains the altar and sacred vessels for the weekly meal of bread and wine. They take care of the linens, as well as keep the silver and brass clean and ready for filling with wine or wafers. Please contact Martha Thalheimer if you would like to join.
Flower Guild
St. Luke's Flower Guild welcomes your participation by offering memorial and thanksgiving flowers for the Sunday services. There are request forms for the Flower Guild on the tables at the back of the church. You can fill one out and drop it in the collection plate or e-mail Tim Mannion if you would like to donate flowers.
Sunday Counters
Help is needed each Sunday to count and record the collection taken at the services. The work is done immediately following the 10:00 service and volunteers are scheduled to count about once each month. The process takes about 30 minutes each Sunday. Please contact Stephanie Borsi for more information.
Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers serve as extraordinary ministers in the celebration of the Eucharist by assisting the priest in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ. A further role of the Eucharistic Minister is for them to administer home communion to the sick and housebound. Training will be provided. Please contact
The Rev. John Mennell for more information.
Choir Singers
The choir has started up again for the 2011-2012 season. Singers are needed in all sections of the choir, particularly in the Alto, Tenor, Bass and Soprano I sections. Auditions are not required, but prior experience in singing with a choir is essential. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 8 to 9:30pm, and the choir sings on Sundays from September through June, and at special services throughout the year, including Lessons and Carols in December and Evensong in the early Spring. There is also a Junior Choir with rehearsals on Wednesday evenings that sing at service once a month. Contact Charles Hunter if interested.
