Ongoing Christian Education for Youth
Our mission is to provide children and youth with an opportunity to explore the three-fold foundation of the church - scripture, tradition and reason - in a safe and enjoyable environment. Scripture is explored through discussion, the arts, and technology. Additional Activities are regularly scheduled for all ages to build community and enhance each child's spiritual journey.
Nursery Care is available during the 10 a.m. service
Children aged six-weeks to 3 years old are welcome in the nursery.
Pre-K to 2nd Grade
Using Godly Play materials we follow the lectionary readings through the Church year. Activities are supplemented by the Living the Good News curriculum. Beginning at 9:45 a.m. a musical gathering time is offered before classes start promptly a 10:00 a.m. After watching and hearing the reading of the day, children will explore the story in art, drama, and/or technology before joining the rest of the congregation at the Peace and sharing in the Communion celebration.
3rd to 5th Grade
The Living the Good News curriculum is supplemented by our computer lab. The learning activities and games enhance the messages being discussed by our students. (For more information check out sundaysoftware.com). Children of this age are encouraged to become acolytes and Junior Choir members so they may participate in worship in a variety of different ways.
Rite 13 for Middle School
Our Rite 13 program acknowledges our youth are beginning the road to adulthood and assists the congregation in celebrating this milestone. The discussion-based program explores both the workings of the church and the daily realities of life that our youth encounter. We encourage all of our
youth to participate fully in diocese wide events.
Young Adults in Church for High School
Our high school students, or Young Adults in Church (YAC), meet from 11:00 a.m. to noon,
after the worship service in a discussion based curriculum designed to assist them in
their journey, encourage their questioning, and lead them to adult
participation in the church.
Church School Runs from September to June
